The Town of Shelburne will be hosting “Fridays in the Park” at Jack Downing Park. The events are free and include a diverse line-up of live music, children entertainment and community activities, to engages residents, visitors and raise the profile of our local businesses.

WHEREAS June 27 is Canadian Multiculturalism Day, a day to celebrate the cultural diversity of Canadians, and the history that brought us to this day. It was on October 8, 1971, in a statement to the House of Commons, that Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau announced multiculturalism as an official government policy. The intent was not only to preserve the cultural freedom of all individuals, but also to recognize the cultural contributions of diverse ethnic groups to Canadian society; and
With Canada Day celebrations on Monday July 01, 2024, there will be temporary disruptions to vehicle access through the north gate at Fiddle Park (105 Second Line) from 12:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

WHEREAS on June 21, Canada will celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day. This is a day for all Canadians to acknowledge the unique heritage, diverse cultures, and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples;
June 24, 2024. All pet owners who license their dogs with the Town of Shelburne can upgrade their city-branded pet licence tag to one of DocuPet's designer tag styles.
There may be unpleasant odours in the areas surrounding the Shelburne Wastewater Treatment Facility. Biosolids haulage is currently scheduled and will take a few weeks. Please note that the odour may increase during haulage, but should dissipate shortly afterwards. The plant is operated by the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) on behalf of the Town.
